Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin - how do I get rid of it?

This bar keeps coming back even if I delete it!

How do I get rid of it forever?

No registry edit to get rid of it or anything else?

I don't know about the registry, but I have tried turning off Anti-spam,
unchecking it (and even using the 'remove' option) in the COM Addin box in
Outlook, only to have the bar reappear at next boot!
For other reasons I won't bore you with, I "bit the bullet" and allow
Anti-spam to do it's thing and I turned off Outlook's Junk email feature
(which is VG, BTW).
Sorry I can't be of more help. Try the Symantec NGs, although I think
Symantec does not monitor them anymore.
(symantec.support.winnt.nortonantivirus.general, for starters)

I have posted on the message board and sent an email to Symantec.
Meanwhile, I have found that if you go to (using xp)::

c:\\program files\common files\symantec shared\antispam\ and change the name
of msouplug.dll to, say, xxmsouplug.dll, the offending bar will disappear.

However, I may have lost my adtrashcan (the bar on the right side of the
screen) but entries can still be put in manually). I will post if I hear
from Symantec or the newsgroup.

Update. Norton CS says that there is no way to get rid of the bar which, of
course, isn't correct. Disable the noted file. Also, the 2004 Internet
Security does not have the ad trashcan alert bar and does not give an alert
for each intrusion that it blocks. So the system without msouplug.dll works
fine.
