Not able to open and compose mails

Hi,
I configured outlook express 6.0 for my mail server. I am
able to recieve mail. But when i double click on the mail
a message "There was an erro opening this message" comes.
But i can read the mail using the preview pane.

The same error message comes when i click Create Mail. So
i am not able to compose any mails
