Not enough disk space to delete the 15000 messages in "Deleted Ite

I have been using Outlook 2003 for several years now and have accumulated
over 15,000 Deleted Items and I am now having trouble with my email and have
been getting the following message: "The file C:\Documents and
Settings\Robert\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
could not be accessed. There is not enough space on the disk." I do use the
Archive function every two weeks and thought this was sufficient maintenance
to keep my mailbox functional. Can anyone advise me as to what the issue
might be or how to resolve it? Thank you.

Have you tried emptying the Deleted Items folder?
