Not installed for current user

Mark

Upgraded to Windows 98SE from 98. Now I'm getting
message "MS Powerpoint has not been installed for the
current user. Please run setup to install the application."

I've run setup; I've taken office and powerpoint
completely off and on and still get the message. Anyone
know a solution?

You might want to try a registry cleaner if one's available for your version
of Office (it's always a good idea to mention which).

Completely uninstall Office - Office Erasers / Registry Cleaners

Then reinstall.

For future reference, installing Windows as an in-place upgrade to an
existing version (as opposed to a clean reformat and reinstall) is a bad
idea in general. It tends to produce weird, intractible problems like this.
