not Office, but ......Recycle Bin question

After doing some repairs/uninstalls/reinstalls/cleanup
etc, the Recycle Bin on my desktop and in Explorer has a
Flying Windows icon instead of the trashcan. Any way to
restore the trash can icon?
When I right-click, properties, there is no Change Icon
button.
I have done a search for files called anything like
recyclebin.ico and I don't find anything on my computer.

In WinXP you can Right-click the desktop and choose Properties, choose the
Desktop tab, then click Customize Desktop. Under the General Tab you should
be able to pick icons for your Empty and Full Recycle Bin's as well as My
Computer, My Docs, My Net, etc.

I have Win98, but it was similar. Right-click desktop,
Properties, Effects.
