My new computer runs with XP. My MS OFFICE 2000 PROFESSIONAL software is
designed for NT/Windows98. Can I install, transfer my data, and run this
software in XP environment? If not, what do I need to do...ie: any
suggestions?

No it's not. No version of Office is designed for a particular version of
Windows.

Office 2003 is designed for Windows 2000 SP-3 or Windows XP. Sorry, no
cigar this time, Tick.
