Numbering with styles - next number given even though not required

Hi All

Sorry if this question has been dealt with before but I cannot find the
answers. I'm sure there's a simple solution (ever the optimist).

We have a number of templates with customised multi-level paragraph numbering
styles. Mostly they all work brilliantly. The style which follows each of
the levels is always Normal (un-numbered & back against the left hand margin)
.. So, to clarify, when the user carriage returns at the end of the numbered
paragraph, we want the next paragraph to be un-numbered. However, in some of
the templates, when the user presses return at the end of the paragraph, the
next number is applied even though the style following is set to normal. The
styles are set up in exactly the same way in all the templates & according to
Shauna Kelly’s excellent advice. There is nothing that I can see in
AutoFormat that is causing this. Any ideas?

I've also posted another question re issues when re-defining styles. I think
these are 2 separate issues.

Thanks for any suggestions.
