O2K7 install over O2K3 leaves old Office in place

Are we sure it's a bug? I "upgraded" to Office 12 and it did the same for
me - leaving the icons for Office 2003 intact, but adding icons for the 2007
version. Both versions of Word appear to work (although Word 2003 briefly
shows an "installing..." dialogue). The old version of Outlook, however,
does not.

I have c:\program files\microsoft office with subdirectories of office,
office10, office11 and office12.
