ODBC question

At what time do/or will ODBC drivers get installed. I do not believe they get installed if you install MSOffICE reg, but I believe they get installed if you install MSaccess or MSOffice prof. I have an inquiry on this and am just not sure anymore. this is for a requirments docuement and I have not been able to locate this information anywhere at this time.

I seem to recollect that they are installed with any MS Office app and may
well be installed with win*
