Odd Behaviour

I have a sub-project in a consolidated project, when I
click on the "+" symbol it expands the tasks ok, if I
then go on to filter on any column, the expanded tasks
disappear and the original "+" symbol dissappears! A
simple Undo operation does not reverse it back again. The
only way I can get teh sub-project expanded again is to
relink the underlying file in the task advanced tab. What
is going on here? This is only happening on 1 of the sub-
projects, the rest are fine. It also happens if I
replicate the process on another PC. Why should a filter
operation destroy the link to the underlying file.
