Odd Outlook behavior

I've recently been experiencing some strange behavior from Outlook 2003,
while collecting mail. I collect mail from several different
accounts/servers. Frequently, I get this message:

Task 'MyAccount Name - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F): 'The
connection to the server was interrupted.'

Occasionally, the Outlook Send/Receive Progress window remains open in the
taskbar even though all e-mail has been sent/received.

Another computer on our home office network has no such symptoms.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP1.

For anyone interested, I found the answer. It was Norton Anti-Virus.

It was a problem with a recent program update that has been resolved with a
newer one.
