OE will not access POP3 SMTP accounts

My Outlook Express suddenly stopped sending/receiving email... repairing, reinstalling and ensuring all settings are correct has not resolved the problem... I can access the same email accounts from another pc on the LAN without any issues... it appears that it is not communicating with or through IE and just hangs although it says it is connected... has anyone else experienced and resolved this problem?

Check your firewall setting and don't forget to write down all error codes.

Then ask in an Outlook Express forum. This is an Microsoft Office Outlook
forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.

Alright. Tried disabling firewall? If it works you'll need to reconfigure
your firewall.
If all still fails write please post more info like version of Outlook and
the error codes.

It's Outlook 200

Originally I was getting Error: 0x800CCC15 - unable to connect to network..

Disabled firewall and still no luck..

Now getting Errors: 0x8004210A - timed out waiting on POP serve
0x8004210B - timed out waiting on SMTP serve

I have checked all settings and an identical set up is working on my separate laptop which I obviously need as a back up to send/receive my home office email

I really appreciate the interest you are showing and the assistance you are kindly giving..
