OE will not send mail

I keep recieving this error when trying to send email:

An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'LINKS',
Account: 'pop.earthlink.net (1)',
Server: 'smtp.earthlink.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0B

Anyone that can help would be very thankful.
