Hallo,
One way and another I have reached the position with
Office 2000 Premium and Windows XP where I cannot repair
or remove Office from my PC. When I try to, I get the
error message: "This patch package could not be opened.
Verify that the patch package exists and that you can
accessit.." etc. I also cannot apply any updates, and so
on.
I have had a good look in the Microsoft Knowledgebase and
found the cause of the problem is in the Windows
Installer package, and that it is also linked with System
Restore, which I have had to use.
The Knowledgebase explains how to resolve the problem for
Windows 98 or 98SE or ME, but not for XP. Can anyone
offer me a soultion, pleae?
