Office 2000 HELP!

C

captainron19

I just bought a new computer and my older computer came with Office 2000
already installed. I really needed this exact version on my new computer so
I used the disks that came with my old computer and installed. I receive an
error titled:

cannot find d:\pfiles\common\msshared\clipart\themes1\bullets\bd21342_.gif

My only choices are "retry" and
"cancel" so I cannot get the software installed. I even triedgoing into
"custom install" and into the clipart section to not allow for that to be
installed but when I do that I get an internal error during startup.

I am using Windows XP Home edition. I did try to install on a work
computerat my fire department to see if same problem occured (Work computer
uses WIndows XP Profession) and it installed there just fine.

Any ideas. Please feel free to email me directly at (e-mail address removed)

1) Asking for emailed replies is the height of arrogance. Why should I
give my email address to a complete stranger? You could be harvesting
addresses for all I know. You post here - you come back here for replies.
2) You have an OEM licence. An OEM licence is forever tied to the system
it was first installed on (usually the system it was sold with). You may
*NOT* install it on any other system. If you want Office 2000 on your new
system you will need to purchase it again but, as it is now long
discontinued (and MS no longer offers any form of support) the only place
you will find a copy is eBay.
