Office 2000 Installation Error - won't re-install after crash ?

I had a crash on after initial installation of office 2000 on my pc
with w/98 me ( during reboot sequence . I tried to reinstall but I got
a message saying I couldn't except as original logged in user (what ?
) I really am confused and could use some assisiatance - thank you
