Office 2000 Installer Runs For No Reason

I upgraded from Office 2000 to 2003. When I view some (not all)
emails in Outlook, the Office 2000 SR-1 installer starts to run. I
have to hit cancel to get it to stop, or it runs to an error message.
I cannot tell why some emails make it run and others do not. Any
ideas?

We have this happening when you have selected to have a notification when new mail arrives. Once you put the CD in for office it goes away.
