Office 2000 Pro or 2003 Trial Edition?

My notebook running xp pro came with a trial edition of Office 2003. But I
already have a Pro edition of Office 2000. Which should I use. So far I have
chosen the 2000 Pro and have uninstalled the 2003. It seems to run ok. Are
there any compatibility issues? It seems to make sense to run our existing
Office Pro rather than have to pay for the 2003 which may not have as many
features.

tks for any advice

The great thing about 2000 is you can install it on more than one computer
without having to go through the MS activation scam.

Stick with what works unless you need something 2003 offers.

IMNSHO, Outlook 2003 is alone worth the upgrade from 2000.

tks for the replies. It seems most people, except the MVP, think it better to
stick with what ive got. I do however have Outllook 2003, on my Active Sync
program. Should I install Outlook 2003 over the top of Office 2002? Would it
cause problems?

oops. meant to say "should I install Outlook 2003 over the top of Office
2000 (Pro)?

lindzog,
You should be able to install Outlook 2003 with Office 2000 pro. Only
caveate is if you use Word as your email editor this function will no longer
be available to you. Outlook and Word must be of the same version for this
purpose.
One good reason to upgrade to Office 2003 is product support over previous
versions.

use the Office Online web based newsreader here:

In Office System 2003 applications:
Help/Assistance Pane/open Communities

so i guess if i did want to try 2003, id have to uninstall Microsoft Office
Pro, reinstall the trial 2003 edition and then sign up at the end? or is
there a better/cheaper way? Im wondering... Do you know if the Option of
sharing with Address book in OE would still exist with 2003? I like that
feature.
By the way, I keep clicking the notification of replies here but get no
notification. Am i doing something wrong?
