Office 2000 Proffesional SR1-1a

I have Windows XP Pro, and I am trying to uninstall
Office 2000 Pro. I add/remove via control panel, and I
get the message that it cannot find a valid 'Data1.msi'
file. It is on the SR-1 disc, but when I browse and
click on it, I get the same error. I want to remove
Office 2000 completely.

Have you put in your Office CD for the uninstall to find the data1.msi?

I have the same problem. I don't have a CD for SR1 as it
was downloaded from their web site. I have a CD for
service Pack 3 but no luck with this CD either.

Yes, Data1.msi is on the CD, and I "browse" to it when
asked. Even then I still get the same message. I even
tried to copy Data1.msi to my C: drive and run it from
there. No help. I get a message that Data1.msi is not a
valid installation 'program' ( I think), and to locate the
folder where it is located.
