Hi Rob,
Check in Add/Remove Programs to see if Microsoft Office XP
is listed as installed. If so, and you don't have the
CDs you may want to try uninstalling it from there prior
to installing Office 2000.
The MS Windows installer manages all the apps that use
it and it will try to 'repair' any problems it sees with
other apps when it installs another one.
======
I have a PC running XP Home (Pre-Installed) and am trying to install Office 2000 Small Business. Half way through, a popup appears
asking for the Office XP Professional CD to be inserted, which I don't have, and isn't installed anyway. Is this an error with XP,
or should I be able to install Office 2000?
Thanks in anticipation >>
