G'Day,
I was hoping someone might have an answer out there regarding the
introduction of a new security prompt when attempting to sync a palm or
pocket pc?
If I attempt to hot sync the palm device I get prompted asking me if I want
to allow this device/program access to outlook for a certain amount of time.
See: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup.htm#autosec
I have a number of users who are having extreme issues with this to the
point it is freezing their computers and I have to get involved in assisting
them to hot sync their device every day.
The only solution I can see is to upgrade to Office 2003 but I see that is
hardly an answer. To pay $500 to install the latest version of MS office to
get around this issue is not acceptable.
My question then is how can I disable this prompt or, in the registry,
lengthen the amount of time that this will allow access to outlook to the
point where I add a few years on so it doesn't prompt me again?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
