Office 2003 and Windows 2000 Network

Tom Rogers

We have a Windows 2000 Server Active Directory Domain Network. We are
currently using Office 2000 on our clients. I would like to deploy Office
2003 to all clients, would there be any reason why I should wait until my
network is up on Windows Server 2003?

Or can I just deploy Office 2003 now? How will Outlook 2003 be with Exchange
Server 2000?

TIA,

It will work perfectly. Don't let the name fool you.

The Office versions (such as XP or 2003) have nothing to do with the Windows
versions. That is, Office XP is totaly unrelated to Windows XP, and Office
2003 is unrelated to Windows 2003.

One note: the Office 2003 installation will not uninstall Office 2000 CD 2.
Therefore, vulnerabilities for Office 2000 will still show up, even though
it isn't really installed. The trick is to uninstall Office 2000 CD 2.

I just finished deploying 2003 on over 2,800 clients. Except for the 8
without enought disk space, the installations went perfectly.
