I have been deploying Office 2003 throughout the company by using
administrative install points. For the most part everything works like a
charm, but there is a small but growing percentage that are having issues.
Most of the PCs currently have Office XP and the install removes Office XP
and then loads Office 2003. For the ones that are having issues, either of
the following happens:
1. OXP will not get uninstalled. O2003 is installed, but no shortcuts are
put anywhere except on the Programs menu (on an upgrade the shortcuts that
the user has should be replaced.) O2003 will work if you run it from the
Programs menu. OXP will work after you enter the CD-Key again.
or the worst one....
2. OXP will be uninstalled. O2003 will not be installed and the user is
left with no Office whatsoever - no matter what version you're hoping for.
Has anyone had similar issues? Suggestions? Possible culprits?
Thanks!
