Office 2003 Eval. Kit won't run

G

Geoff S.

Hi all
I've just installed Office 2003 Evaluation Kit under Win XP Pro. All the files seem to be there, the Start menu shortcuts are there, but when I try to run an Office application I get a great big nothing. I've tried using the Start menu, double-clicking the files directly withing the folder, and double-clicking Office documents. Clicking on outlook.exe, I get an 'Application Error': 'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application'. Everything else I get absolutely nothing

Thanks,

Geoff

Try removing and reinstalling Office. if that does not work, then try using
the correct option from the Add/Remove programs under Control Panel.

Thanks for the info Milly. I did try both of those things, without success. Interestingly, I tried installing the kit on Win 2000 (I have a dual-boot system) and it works perfectly
