Office 2003 Help and downloading update

I tried to access Office 2003 Help but each time the computer froze and when
I tried to get out of the program it sent a message about contacting
Microsoft about the problem which I did. An update was available but I
cannot successfully download it. I tried to download the 2-hour more
complete download but that didn't seem to work either. I don't know what to
do now. Help.
