Office 2003 help

R

Rajesh

Please help me.

I purchased the full version of Office 2003 (not the
upgrade). I installed it on one desktop and one laptop. I
hadn't realized that I couldn't install it on a second
desktop so I attempted to do so. It allowed me to do it,
but then when it came to activating the software it said I
exceeded my quota. I realize now that I misinterpreted the
licensing agreement. I want to remove the version from my
second desktop, however, it appears that the old version
of Office (Office 97) has now been erased from my
computer. My understanding (and that of two people I've
spoken to at your company) was that it should NOT have
overwritten my previous version, and that by deleting the
2003 version, I should still be able to access Office 97.

However, I cannot find Office 97 anywhere on my computer
and fear that it has been deleted. Your customer service
department suggested that I contact you to help me find
the old version of Office 97 on my computer. I'm afraid I
no longer have the Old Office 97 CD-ROM to be able to re-
install it.

Please help. Thanks alot!

1) This isn't Microsoft technical support - this is a peer-to-peer
newsgroup which is neither staffed, nor monitored, by MS. Whilst MS
employees may post here occasionally, they do so on their own time and are
not authorised by, nor do they represent, MS in any way, shape or form.

2) You must have selected erase in the set-up. If Office 97 is gone, then
it's gone. You'll either have to find the disc (MS no longer support 97 in
any form) or purchase another 2003 licence. Tough shit, Sherlock!

You are out of luck, Office97 is no longer there, unless you upgraded to a
different partition (unlikely). MS no longer provides replacement Office97
disks as it is not supported. You will have to buy replacement software.
