I have a problem running Office 2003 programs as a limited user.
Configuration: clean install Windows XP-SP2 (I tried with both HOME and PRO)
or 2003-SP1 Server ent. Next install Office 2003. Create some limited user
accounts.
Now if I run Word as one of the limited users, It starts installing and
installing... And a few minutes later, when it is done Word starts. The next
time I start Word, the same process will repeat again and again...
Next I gave this account Administrative rights and Word started normally,
but if I change back the account to limited, Word will run the Windows
installer again.
It's not only Word, but almost every Office program.
I remember some time ago, I was on a presentation about the new Office 2003
and they said "The good software like our new Office, does not require
Administrative rights in order to work and be fully functional".
Now I wonder "Am I doing anything wrong, or these guys simply lied to me?"
Any help will be appreciated.
