Office 2003 Rollout question

Hi everyone. Hopefully there is a simple answer for this simple
question. We have been rolling out MS Office for a few years now but
we have implimented a new standard across the estate of font size and
style. I have opened the MST and OPS file using the Office 2003
resource kit but can't find where to set the default font for MS Word.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Even if you could do this (using a prf file or whatever) it would not
make much sense as it's a per-user setting. You can enforce some
per-user settings by using group policy, but another possible option
(the one I'd look at first) would be to create a Word template
(NORMAL.DOT) and then make sure Word will reference it regardless of who
is logged in. You'd still have the problem of how to update it on all
machines (and for all users) if you ever wanted to change it. To work
around this kind of problem you can look at "Workgroup" templates, the
idea is to have a template on a central server, if you need to alter it,
you can just change it in one place...

I've never actually tried the above, it's just some ideas.
