Office 2003 setup fails.

When I try to install Office 2003 on my XP laptop, the
installation throws an error, with the following message.

Product: Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 --
Setup has detected an incomplete Windows XP Service Pack
installation on your computer. Office will not run
properly until this update has been completed.

Visit Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com)
to download and install the latest Service Pack.
"

I patched my laptop using the new
v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com. All the installation of
patches were successful. I rebooted few times and still
the same error.

How do I rectify this? Pls help.
