office 2003 setup

M

mynameis

i have office xp professional installed on my workstation running on win xp prof. I went to install office 2003 upgrade and installation went ok but when I went to open outlook i got a message that the RPC was not configured right and therefore outlook couldn't open and complete the migration. Then I get a message that my microsoft exchange server is unavailable so I click work offline and then outlook closes. I am connected to the network, when I click the Mail Icon in control panel the setup for ms exchange 2000 is correct it sees my name and the server name is correct. The locator service is running. But no luck. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Office XP and everything back to normal. Any ideas on how to get this to install correctly? I have tried everything and no luck. HELP!

At my wits end.

cannot connect to Exchange server. So for now I can get

followed the notes on 830914 to the letter. now I am
really stumped. Any other ideas ?

Milly just thought I would let you know I finally go it
working. I deleted all of the keys and reentered them in
the order as noted in KB325930 - then opened outlook and
now it is working fine. the keys had been listed in a
different order.
