Hi There,

Does any of you`s know were to find the office 2003
Shortcut bar, I have done a custom installation to
several Workstations and none of them have a Shortcut Bar,

Could you please advise me what option am I missing which
excludes the Shortcut Bar from being installed on the PCs.
Or did the name change perhaps.

There is no Shortcut Bar for Office 2003. You can install the office SCB
from a older version of Office or to create a Shortcut Tool Bar for Office
2003 using the Windows task Bar. Create a folder with shortcuts for all
office programs. Right Click On the Task Bar select Toolbars > New Toolbar
and Navigate to the folder containing your Office shortcuts and select it,
click OK.

Paul:

I requested my employer's computer support folks install
MS-Office Shortcut Bar from an older version of Office as
you suggested. My current OS spec is "Windows-XP Version
5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp2.030422-1633: Service Pack 1)".
Unfortunately, since I run Office Shortcut Bar as
a "floating rectangle" on my desktop, I have encountered a
persistant problem with Shortcut Bar popping back onscreen
repeatedly whenever it is covered by another window. Yes,
I have Auto Hide activated. Using Tweak-UI's X-Mouse
behavior makes this situation worse, but when I turn X-
Mouse off, Shortcut Bar continues to repeatedly pop
onscreen to distraction. It redisplays itself whenever a
minized window is restored, for example.

For my purposes, Shortcut Bar is *far* superior to Windows-
XP's native Toolbars, but I'd really like to resolve its
random self-redisplay problem if a fix exists.

Has anyone running Shortcut Bar on Windows-XP encountered
and resolved similar problems? Is anyone aware of any
fixes for Shortcut Bar's unruly screen behavior? I would
guess a fix would be done via the Registry, but I don't
know where Shortcut Bar's settings are kept.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
Harold
