Office 2003 update

V

Vik

I run Office 2003 setup and installed only MS Access. Then I run SP2 and all
the updates from the Internet. The system installed the updates for the
Excel, Word, and other programs that actually were not installed on my comp.
A few days later I installed all the programs from the Office 2003 and run
again SP2 and the Office Update. The system reported that SP2 and all the
updates are already installed.

How can the SP2 and all the updates be installed for the programs that were
not installed in the first place? Do I need to remove the Office and
reinstall it to install all the updates?

Thanks.

Hi Vik,

The Office Service packs and updates are based on the product installed, even if you don't setup all of the features.
It sounds like you have MS Office 2003 Professional Edition. The individal apps are feature sets not individual products.
