Office 2003 vs Office XP SP3

Terence

My users (LAN and remote users) are using Office XP SP2. What is the
recommended path to upgrade the existing Office XP to either Office XP Sp3 or
Office 2003.

What is the pros and cons of Office 2003 vs Office XP Sp3?

P.S. The remote users need to access Exchange mailbox.

Any pros and cons comparison table?! I am not concerning about the money, I
am concerning any benefits we can gain when comparing with Office XP 2003.

IMO, best thing about Office 2003 is Outlook and the ability to connect to
Exchange 2003 without a VPN using RPC over HTTPS.

Thank you all of you.

BTW, I have found that the Chinese characters (Traditional and Simplified
Chinese)are not displayed correctly ("?" is displayed instead) in the subject
line of the Outlook XP. Do you know the said Chinese characters display
issue is fixed in Office 2003 edition? If so, which hotfix or article talks
about this issue and solution?

I wouldn't know anything about that as I only know and understand English, thus I wouldn't use Chinese
characters anywhere in my documents.

However, I just did a search on the Microsoft Knowledge Base and found some articles that may help:

Traditional Chinese end-user-defined characters (EUDC) do not appear correctly after you install Office 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826711/

Description of Office 2003 Input Method Editor (Chinese Traditional) hotfix package: March 5, 2004
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835740/

Description of the Office 2003 Alternative User Input update: November 9, 2004
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870774/

One or more the updates/hotfixes noted above might be included in an Office 2003 Service Pack:

How to obtain the latest service pack for Office 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870924/

Description of Office 2003 Service Pack 1
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842532/

Description of Office 2003 Service Pack 2
