Office 2007 Activation servers?-um- Millie what's up?

Jeff

Hi,
Just reinstalled Office 2007-and now the activation servers are down.
Have been since yesterday.
Saw somewhere that Millie(may have) said ;it's because of no new
activations; I think.
But just went to the Office site;and it still says;"Take the test drive."
Sorta upset;if they pulled the servers; before letting people know the
beta's over.

Millie; if you see this; any new info?

Hi Jeff,

Not Millie <g> but basically, the beta product activation server has had several outages during the course of the Office 2007 Beta 2
run, and it seems like they always occur near or on a weekend <g>.

MS is and has been working on resolving the issue. Normally the activation is a separate group than the 'phone support' ones, and
activation by phone isn't supported for either beta products or for trial products so it can be, as you're aware, a bit frustrating
when the only path to resolution is a bit broken.
