Office 2007 in a dual boot system

I have two OSs on my computer - XP Pro and Vista. Currently, Office Standard
2007 is running on the XP partition and want to use it with Vista. I
suspect that I have to install it withing Vista but do I have to uninstall
from XP first and will I lose my data?

An uninstall of Office doesnt Impact on data, but better safe than sorry so
backup data files.
