Office 2007 Upgrade CD from Office 2000 (Very Bad Performance)

I upgrade all my work computer from office 2000 to office professional 2007
using an upgrade CD and practically every computer here is so sluggish now
when using offce. What used to take me about 2-3 seconds for outlook to
open, now takes about 1-2 minutes. Opening excel document is a nightmare.
They don't want to open unless you minimize the screen and then the data
"might" pull in. All word, excel and outlook programs are just performing
poorly. Any suggestions other than returning it back to the vendor :)
