Office 2007

In the office icon we're given the choices to New, Open, Save, Save As
etc.........one of the options was Convert whose shortcut was accidentally
deleted. How do I re-install it under the office icon toolbar? I have
attempted to do it via the customization feature, however the shortcut goes
into the Quick Access Toolbar and not the office icon. Help! Thanks in
advance.

Hi Aiandas,

To add to Patrick's reply the 'convert' choice only appears if the document you have open is in 'compatibility mode' (listed next to
the file name in the Title bar at the top of the Word screen). That is, if it's a document that has not been saved in or is using
only the features from earlier versions of Word you'll have the 'convert' choice. Once you choose to use the newer features or save
it as a new file format (i.e. .docx or .docm in Word 2007) the option to 'convert (up)' is no longer listed. You can still use Save
As to save as a legacy (97-2003) format document to remove 2007 features).
