Office 97 import excel file into access

D

David

I am trying to import an excel 97 document into access. I go to Get external
data / import, but after then the import window does not include excel type
files. It tells me that not all file types are installed by default, but
despite following the instructions to run set up I cannot get it to include
this file type.

Help please

Hi Susan

I've tried installing the Data Access Pack, but still no luck. Should I
uninstall / reinstall Office 97? If I do, do I need to delete any registry
entries before re-installing?

David

Hi, David,

Did you install the Data Access Pack?
