Office 97 install after restore

I need to restore my Office 97 from the disc. However, it is asking for a
code that I do no have (it was apparently printed on the original jacket).
How can I use it?

What you have is an upgrade apparently. When it's looking for the qualifying
product, you need to insert the disk of the previous version of Office and
point to it.

Getting a message saying it's looking for qualifying product when this
program is licensed as a single product. Used to work fine before the
restore. Have original disk and packaging.

When you install Office 97, you have to enter the 11-digit CD key
from the orange label that is on the back of the Office 97 CD
jewel case. No CD key, no install.
