Just for fun you could try to copy the CD to a folder on the drive, right
click the setup.exe and go to properties, Compatibility tab and try the
different Compatibility modes. Who knows? May work...

I use Publisher 97 without issue on Vista. I have put it into the Windows 98
compatibility mode.

Mickey,

You could install Microsoft Virtual PC, the 2007 version is a free download
and allows you to run an older OS within Vista. To make it useful you would
probably want access to your local Vista Disk drive (Virtual PC creates its
own C: drive for the guest operating system within a hard disk file on your
real disk drive and normally you can't get at the Vista C: drive and any
other partitions without adding it in the options), So give access to one or
more of your real drives. That way you could run Office 97 in Say Windows
2000 running in a Virtual PC and have access to one of you real Vista drives
so that you can copy files between to the two operating systems.
