office 97

I have been an office 97 (mostly excel and word) user and been satisfied with
it. My new PC converted my files to office 2003 on a 60 day trial basis,
which has now expired, and now I can't access my files in my document folder.
I have uninstalled office 2003, and reinstalled the office 97 excel and word
SW. However, windows cannot open my excel and word files. What do I have to
do? Please help. Peter

Word and Excel 97 should be able to open files created in Office 2003. Are
you getting an error message of any type when you try to open a file?
