Office activation wizard fails after sp3 installation

I installed SP3 to my Office XP installation and now the activation wizard
will not activate my applications. I tried the fix explained in KB 303048 to
restore my script, but that does not fix the problem.

I need these applications and I am currently serving in the Peace Corps in
Razgrad, Bulgaria so calls to tech support are really out of the question.

Thanks for any help -- I would rip the applications out and re-install them,
but if the activation doesn't work now, what are the chances it would work
then?
