responded, just not the way he did it. I'll try to be a bit more
informative
in the future.

Unfortunately, the solution in the "Activation Wizard does not
start
in
Office 2003" did not work.

I'm running Windows XP MCE, and have Office 2003 Student and
Teacher
edition
(U.S.).

I'm also experiencing problems with Windows Media Player. It is
taking
up
all my CPU time when playing any files. Could the two problems be
related??

can't just say "I don't feel well." You need to tell us as much
as
you
think
could apply. I think it's better to give too much information
than
not
enough.

Sure JoAnn, here is a recap:

My copy of Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition never asked if I
wanted
to activate after I installed it. I'm in the U.S. and I'm running
Windows
XP
MCE.

Now it has gone into "Reduced Functionality Mode" and when I click
"help >
activate product" nothing happens. No error messages or any other info.
I
don't get any info on how to activate. I've seen many postings here
with
an
answer of "call the activation number." I would call, but my Office
product
won't tell me how.

Another user told me of an article
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823527 "Activation Wizard does not
start
in Office 2003") to try, but it did not help. I tried deleting the file
it
said and restarting the program, but it did not help.

I'm also experiencing problems with Windows Media Player. It is taking
up
all my CPU time when playing any files. Could the two problems be
related??
