office activation

I have a laptop that came with an OEM copy of office XP. coffee was spilled
into the machine, so I am combining the screen and top of the case from that
machine with the bottom assembly from a machine with a broken LCD. Will I
have a problem when I restore from a HDD backup? I intend to reinstall from
the original office CDs.

Thanks

Office does not care what computer it is installed on. If you install a copy
onto 2 or more computers you will have issues with activation and it will be
considered as piracy. If you install it onto a new computer and it is no
longer on the old computer (meaning you only have one activated copy) then
you are OK.
