Office programs don't just simply delete themselves. :) Perhaps your
installation got corrupted. Please try doing a repair for the installation
from your Control Panel.

they are also gone . I am also getting a sign in page with this this is real
strange to me why would office start getting stupid all of a sudden? I have
no virus or adaware or spyware could it have something to do with adobe 6.?

Probably not anything to do with Adobe products.

The sign-in to the web interface to the newsgroups is normal -- you have to
sign in with your Passport account before you can post via the web
interface. It could be that your session has timed out, or it could simply
be that you didn't notice the need to actually sign in before when you
posted your original question.

please explain "Sign-In" page in more details. does it request you to enter
a username and a password?

on getting your files lost...........probably a virus, more possibly some
obfuscation. If you do search for *.doc for instance on your whole harddisk,
can you find them?
