Office Errors from Update

J

JAZ

I maintain 8 computers with various stages of software from vendor installed
to retail purchased, so far all has been normal. I apply patches and updates
religiously. Recently though I had a HD failure. The HD was copied to a new
and installed. Now I have the computer up everthing is well except the Office
icons disappeared and the is an error about the package needing to be
repaired. The process though will not recognise my installation disk, and
searches of KB have left me with incomplete solution. But so far I can't
uninstall, to reinstall, I can't repair. I can use office with appearently
no problem other than an error message on start and missing icons....
Would it be possible to clear the cache so that I can uninstall and
reinstall the original package and then update from there?
