This question may be better suited to a different group, but I reckon I'll
start here...
I'm running Office 07 setup using an MSP file that chains a couple of other
installs (ex, XPS/PDF add-in). It all works like a charm.
Now the boss wants Project to be part of our standard load, so I added
Project's setup.exe to the chain. And that's where I hit a snag.
It seems that at the point that Office setup calls Project setup, I get an
error message onscreen that tells me, "You can only run one instance of
setup at a time." (or words to that effect). I click OK, and let setup go
ahead and run its course. When it finishes, I check to see if all went
well, and lo and behold, I find Project *did* install.
"Well," you say, "what then is the problem?" Well the problem is that this
error message breaks the silent part of my silent install.
I need this
install to run silently.
Thanks in advance for any help.
