Office Groove Enterprise Services

I am attempting to license this and pre sales has no clue. From what I have
put together the per user part number is 79U-01108. Where the confusion
seems to come in is if that is an annual charge, in which case it is about
1/2 the cost of the service under Groove Networks, or if it is a monthly
charge, in which case it is 6 time the cost under Groove Networks. My
assumption is it is an annual per user charge as per the FAQ, not a monthly
charge per the description.

Any clarity any one can offer would be most appreciated.

I'm buying this for our company. You pay a per user fee and the subscription
term is 36 months. I've got a quote for about $200 each based on 14 licenses.

Thanks for the reply. We are seeing between $40-200 per license per month
for the same part number, which is a wide enough range to seem just wrong.
In Groove Networks days the cost was roughly $80/user/year.

Well your pricing variation is most likely due to MS Open Licensing versus
Select Licensing and the wording on the licenses. There is something on the
description which says 'monthly', but if you look further, you'll see that
the license is for a 36 month subscription. I just bought 14 @ 187.50 each
under Open License from Dell. I had a quote from CDW for the same for
$203.99 each. CDW told me the same product under the Select Licensing
program was about $105 annually per license, but you need a couple hundred
seats to get that pricing. So, pricing similar to groove network
days...$187/3 yrs = $63/yr, even a little better.

Thought I'd offer some closure here.

It seems that the problem is that the part number 79U-01108 can refer to 1
user/ 1 month, 1 user/ 1 year and 1 user/ 3 years. The channel for ordering
it is a bit unclear to resellers. MS tells me that they are working on
increasing clarity. The botton line is the cost is roughly $7/per user/ per
month (street price) and one can buy it in 12 or 36 month increments.
