Office installation

I am trying to install office 2003 and when I get to the
part where I enter the key code the screen just
disappears. When I try to run as the administrator I get
the error message

Error opening installation log file. Verify that the
specified log file location exists and is writable.

I have been trying to find something in the Windows
support help site to get it working and I am only running
into information regarding Windows installer.

Could someone please help
