Office on Terminal Server

Cindy

Hello I installed Office, Excel only, using Remote Desktops not Remote
Desktop Connection. I have a mapped s: under my username and for some reason
office is looking for the S: drive if any of the TS users open Excel. I
tried uninstalling and now I get error about Source Engine. Then tried to
install with Admin account that does not have mapped drives and it will not
install get Error 1327. invalid drive S:\ . I am using Setup off a share on
the network.

Could use some help.

Cindy,
The Local Install Source (LIS) is corrupt. You need to use the LISTOOl.exe
to fix it
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A3-695B-42C3-9045-B812BA0FED3E&displaylang=en

Office remembers the original install location by default.
So, its better to uninstall now because users on the terminal server may not
see your S:\drive. Use windows installer cleanup utility to uninstall the
software.

Then, reinstall the software. just make sure that you install from a
location that is always accessible.
